Omega are supporting a growing facilities management and building services provider in their search for an experienced Technical Operations Manager / FM Account Manager. The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of nationwide FM accounts with a combined annual revenue of approximately £2 million. This is a client-facing role focused on account management, operational delivery, compliance, and business growth. You will work closely with client-side Facilities Managers, oversee PPM and reactive maintenance performance, conduct audits, and manage engineering teams to ensure high levels of service delivery across a diverse range of sites including schools, commercial offices, industrial warehouses and retail environments. This is an excellent opportunity for an established FM professional or an ambitious Supervisor looking to take the next step into account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of FM contracts with responsibility for operational delivery, client satisfaction and commercial performance.
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and compliance activities across multiple nationwide client sites.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client-side Facilities Managers and key stakeholders.
- Carry out technical and operational audits to ensure service quality, compliance and contractual obligations are met.
- Take full P&L responsibility for assigned accounts, managing budgets, profitability and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities to organically grow existing client accounts and expand service offerings.
- Lead performance management activities for a team of approximately 40 field-based engineers.
- Monitor service performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, implementing improvements where required.
- Support contract renewals and contribute to long-term client retention strategies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or Technical Account Management.
- Mechanical or HVAC background is essential.
- Experience auditing maintenance works and ensuring compliance across FM contracts.
- Proven experience managing engineering teams and driving performance.
- Strong knowledge of PPM, reactive maintenance and service delivery within commercial environments.
- Demonstrable experience managing client relationships and developing accounts.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, profitability and account performance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Candidates currently operating in a supervisor position looking to progress into an Account Management role are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to travel nationally to visit client sites on a regular basis.
