This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional who thrives in detailed design, enjoys coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and takes pride in seeing projects successfully through construction and completion.
Working alongside an established Technical/Design Manager, you will take ownership of the technical design process, producing and coordinating comprehensive technical information while ensuring projects progress efficiently from detailed design through to delivery.
The Role As a Senior Architectural Technician / Senior Designer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day technical progression of projects, ensuring design information is coordinated, compliant, and delivered to programme.
Key responsibilities will include: Producing, managing and reviewing detailed RIBA Stage 4 technical drawing packages .
Coordinating and integrating third-party consultant information into the overall design package.
Managing consultant reports, approvals and technical submissions.
Supporting projects through the Building Safety Act gateway approval process and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
Liaising with architects, engineers, specialist consultants and external stakeholders.
Identifying and resolving technical and design coordination issues.
Providing ongoing technical support to site teams throughout RIBA Stages 5 and 6 .
Ensuring technical information is accurate, buildable and delivered in line with programme requirements.
Monitoring design changes and maintaining project documentation.
Supporting the successful delivery of high-rise and complex residential developments.
About You We are looking for a technically focused professional who can confidently take ownership of the technical design package and drive projects forward.
You will ideally have: Significant experience within a Senior Architectural Technician, Senior Designer, Technical Coordinator or similar role.
Extensive experience delivering multi-storey residential developments , including high-rise schemes.
Strong understanding of the Building Safety Act , Gateway processes and building regulations.
Proven ability to produce detailed technical drawings and coordinated construction information.
Experience managing consultant teams and coordinating multiple design disciplines.
Excellent knowledge of technical construction detailing and buildability.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in industry-standard design and drawing software.
A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
