We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to help shape the future of our cloud security platform and infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in designing, securing, and automating cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP while driving innovation in cloud-native security, DevOps, and operational resilience. Working closely with engineering, security, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of secure cloud architectures, enhance our product roadmap, automate security remediation processes, and provide expert insight into emerging threats and mitigation strategies. You will also apply modern CI/CD and DevOps practices to solve real-world business challenges within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance secure cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business strategy and budget requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to architect and deliver scalable cloud-native services.
- Drive automation initiatives across cloud operations, security controls, remediation, and incident response processes.
- Support stakeholders in adopting modern cloud-native architectures and best practices.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure and application architectures align with security, compliance, and software development lifecycle standards.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate deployment and configuration management.
- Monitor, assess, and improve cloud security posture through proactive threat identification and mitigation.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, and optimisation.
- Support incident, problem, and change management activities within cloud environments.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on cloud security technologies, standards, and governance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven Experience as a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Security Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Hands-on Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, governance frameworks, and security best practices.
- Experience translating High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) into practical technical solutions.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Java.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with security tooling, SIEM platforms, and cloud security solutions.
- Knowledge of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working with Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
- Experience with Wiz Cloud and Wiz Defend highly desirable.
Cloud Platform Experience
- AWS Infrastructure deployment using CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with IAM, Security Groups, KMS, and cloud security controls.
- Knowledge of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and load balancing.
- Experience with ECS, EKS, and serverless technologies such as Lambda.
- Monitoring and auditing using CloudWatch and CloudTrail.
- Azure Infrastructure deployment using ARM templates and Bicep.
- Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Azure Policy, and governance frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory, Managed Identities, and RBAC.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD delivery pipelines.
- Exposure to Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and related security tooling.
- Understanding of Azure networking technologies including VNets, NSGs, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Infrastructure automation using Terraform or Deployment Manager.
- Experience with IAM, Service Accounts, and organisational security policies.
- Knowledge of Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and Artifact Registry.
- Experience with GCP networking, firewall management, and load balancing.
- Monitoring and security posture management using Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, and Security Command Center.
- Experience with GKE and container orchestration.
Preferred Experience
- Experience within financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated environments.
- Exposure to AI-driven security solutions and cloud-native security technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
