We're looking for a Recruitment Resourcer / Delivery Consultant to join our Resource Delivery team at Essential Consulting.
We specialise predominantly in contract recruitment and consulting within banking and financial services, mainly supporting large, well-known banking clients. Our requirements span technology, transformation, project/change and risk/regulatory programmes.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the delivery side of recruitment and wants plenty of autonomy and flexibility, without the pressure of a traditional 360/new business recruitment role.
Key Responsibilities
Our Business Development team brings requirements into the business, so you won't be expected to cold call for vacancies or have a personal BD target.
Your role is to understand the brief and then take ownership of recruitment delivery and the candidate journey, including:
Proactively sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, our existing network and other channels
Understanding sometimes complex or niche requirements and working out how best to resource them
Speaking to and properly qualifying experienced contract candidates
Building strong candidate relationships, networks and talent pools
Managing candidates throughout interview, offer, screening and onboarding
Keeping candidates engaged and proactively helping to resolve anything that could delay their start
Maintaining accurate and detailed records within our ATS
Working with client systems and processes such as SAP Fieldglass and screening/onboarding portals
Continuing to look after consultants once they're working with our clients
Spotting useful market intelligence or potential leads through candidate conversations and feeding these back to our BD team
You'll recruit across a broad range of roles including Project Managers, Programme Managers, Business Analysts, PMO, technology/change and risk/regulatory professionals, alongside occasional more specialist requirements such as engineers, quants and modellers.
Key Requirements
Please only apply if you have previous recruitment/resourcing experience and have personally been responsible for proactively sourcing and qualifying candidates.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
Has previous experience as a Resourcer, Delivery Consultant, Recruitment Consultant or similar
Has strong hands-on candidate sourcing experience this is essential
Can understand a role brief and independently work out how to find the right candidates
Is comfortable speaking to and qualifying experienced professional candidates
Takes genuine ownership of their candidates rather than seeing the job as simply finding and submitting CVs
Has excellent attention to detail and is comfortable working with ATS/client systems and processes
Is proactive, organised and able to manage their own workload in a predominantly remote environment
Communicates confidently and professionally
Enjoys building longer-term candidate relationships and networks
Previous contract recruitment experience would be particularly useful, as would experience within financial services, technology, transformation/change or another professional recruitment market.
Experience of SAP Fieldglass or other VMS/MSP environments would also be advantageous, but isn't essential.
This isn't a 360 sales role and there is no personal BD target . We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys recruitment delivery, sourcing and candidate management.
Working with Essential Consulting
We work predominantly remotely, with a base in Macclesfield . We generally meet there around once a week, although we're pragmatic about frequency for people who live further away.
We work broadly normal business hours of 9am5.30pm , but operate a grown-up, flexible environment that allows for some flexibility providing this does not affect output.
We're looking at a basic salary in the £30,000s depending on level of experience .
On top of basic salary, we offer a strong commission structure:
£600£850 for each successful placement , depending on margin
£350£500 for each six-month consultant extension , depending on margin
Additional commission opportunities for successful business leads
This would be a suitable opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment but wants more flexibility, autonomy and ownership without having to build a 360 sales desk .
