Health and Safety Advisor

Our client is a well-established and growing fit-out contractor operating across the North West, delivering high-quality commercial, retail, education, and workplace refurbishment projects.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support projects across the region and help drive a positive safety culture throughout the business.
The
Role:
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and wellbeing across multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive health and safety professional who enjoys working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Key
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site inspections and audits across multiple projects.
Provide practical health and safety advice to site management teams.
Ensure compliance with current HSE legislation and company policies.
Review and assist with risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing reports and recommendations.
Deliver toolbox talks and support health and safety training initiatives.
Monitor subcontractor compliance and site safety performance.
Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
Support the development and implementation of health and safety procedures and best practices.
Promote a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Health & Safety Advisor position within construction, fit-out, refurbishment, or a related sector.
NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (Construction Certificate desirable).
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
Full UK driving licence.
