We are now looking for a Head of Services: Sexual Health to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished health or public health leader with extensive strategic service management experience to join our nationally significant organisation. You will have the chance to shape the future of sexual health services for LGBTQ+ communities, influencing strategy across multiple regions and national programmes and driving better outcomes for the communities we exist to serve. The Role
As Head of Services, you will lead the strategic direction and delivery of our sexual health services, improving health outcomes for LGBTQ+ communities across multiple regions and national programmes. You will translate ambitious plans into safe, inclusive and high-quality services, maintaining strategic oversight of contracts, budgets, performance, safeguarding, risk and clinical governance. Acting as the senior representative for sexual health, you will represent us at local, regional and national forums, building influential relationships with commissioners, NHS partners, public health teams and community stakeholders.
Additionally, you will:
- Lead and develop programme teams
- Use data, community need and emerging policy developments to shape multi-year plans
- Lead commissioner relationships, contract reviews and service mobilisation
- Monitor KPIs, outcomes and value for money
- Develop funding opportunities, bids, proposals and business cases
- Promote inclusive, trauma-informed and culturally competent service development
About You
To be considered as the Head of Services, you will need:
- Significant experience of managing and developing health, public health or community-based services
- Experience providing strategic leadership within a complex service environment
- Experience leading service development, transformation or improvement initiatives
- Experience leading and managing managers and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience managing contracts, service performance, budgets, quality standards, risk, compliance requirements and associated KPIs
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with commissioners, funders and strategic partners
- Experience managing budgets and resources
- Experience representing an organisation externally at local, regional or national partnerships, networks or events
- Knowledge of sexual health, HIV prevention and wider public health systems
- An understanding of the health inequalities experienced by LGBTQ+ communities
- Knowledge of current sexual health policy, commissioning arrangements and public health priorities
- An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and risk management within health and community services
