What the Role Looks Like

As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will learn how to:

  • Source and engage top-tier talent across AI and tech startups
  • Run candidate outreach and qualification conversations
  • Build relationships with founders, hiring managers, and candidates
  • Learn how high-growth startups actually hire and scale
  • Use AI tools daily to improve speed, output, and quality
  • Progress toward running your own 360 recruitment desk

This is a hands-on commercial role, not a support function. You'll be speaking to candidates and clients from early on and learning through doing.

What You'll Get Exposure To

Because everyone in the team is billing, you'll be learning directly from live deal-making and real revenue generation. You'll get exposure to:

  • Founders of venture-backed AI startups
  • Live hiring decisions at high-growth companies
  • Real commercial negotiations and placements
  • Full lifecycle recruitment processes
  • How experienced recruiters operate at a high-performance level

Global Market Exposure

This role operates into the US startup and AI market, giving you access to some of the fastest-growing companies in the world. Working in alignment with US markets means:

  • Direct access to high-growth US-based startups
  • Faster-moving deals and higher-value opportunities
  • Increased earning potential driven by premium hiring markets
  • Real exposure to the centre of global AI hiring activity

This structure creates significantly higher earning upside compared to traditional UK-only recruitment desks.

Travel, Events & Off-Site Exposure

This is not just an office-based role. You'll have access to:

  • Industry events in London, Paris, and San Francisco
  • Networking with AI founders, operators, and investors
  • In-person exposure to the global AI startup ecosystem
  • Up to 2 weeks in San Francisco, fully expensed, working directly with clients and attending meetings and events in the heart of the AI scene

Who This Is For

We are hiring for raw potential over experience. Ideal candidates will likely be:

  • Graduates or early-career professionals
  • Competitive, ambitious, and target-driven
  • Strong communicators who enjoy people-facing work
  • Curious about AI, startups, and how tech companies grow
  • Comfortable using tools like ChatGPT / Claude in daily life
  • Proven high performers in something (sport, sales, academics, projects, etc.)

We are not looking for prior recruitment experience - we are looking for people who can become top performers quickly in the right environment.
