Your new company is a market-leading manufacturer of specialist commercial equipment seeking a Field Support Engineer to join its growing after-sales team. The business has a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, supplying equipment and technical solutions to customers across a variety of sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.

Your new role involves being responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist electro-mechanical equipment across the North of the UK (Manchester upwards).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical, electronic and hydraulic faults
  • Carrying out planned maintenance and reactive breakdown support
  • Providing equipment training and technical guidance to customers
  • Producing detailed service reports and maintaining technical documentation
  • Supporting product testing and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifying customer requirements and opportunities for service improvements
  • Providing technical support to customers and internal teams
  • Managing daily routes and workloads efficiently
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Engineering qualification
  • Experience servicing and repairing electro-mechanical equipment
  • Knowledge of electronics and hydraulic systems
  • Experience working with pressure boiler systems
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel extensively and stay away overnight when required

Desirable:

  • Experience working within field service, after-sales support or technical service environments
