You'll enjoy managing challenging Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Product Liability claims, influencing outcomes through strong negotiation skills, and making a real impact on customer and commercial results.
A bit about the job: As a Complex Loss Handler within our Major & Complex Claims Liability team, you'll manage a portfolio of high-value and complex liability claims, ensuring great outcomes while effectively controlling indemnity spend.
Working alongside a team of experienced technical claims professionals, you'll use your expertise to investigate, negotiate and resolve claims across Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Product Liability, including 3rd party property damage claims.
You'll play an important role in maintaining technical excellence, supporting risk and governance requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service, efficiency and business performance.
Through effective claims management and stakeholder engagement, you'll help deliver positive outcomes for customers, brokers and Aviva.
Skills and experience we're looking for: Proven experience handling high-value and/or complex Liability claims, including Employers' Liability, Public Liability and Product Liability claims.
Strong technical knowledge of liability claims handling, policy interpretation and indemnity spend management, experience of 3rd party property damage claims is useful but not essential.
Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
Good understanding of the UK insurance market and claims handling best practice, including the management of legal suppliers and external partners.
Relevant professional qualification (such as ACII) or equivalent claims experience, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
