As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an ambitious Assistant Estimator to join their pre-construction team and develop a long-term career within the cladding and façades industry.

The Role

  • Assisting with the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for cladding and façade projects
  • Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Producing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost plans
  • Obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and pricing schedules
  • Assisting with value engineering exercises and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Working closely with the estimating, commercial, and design teams throughout the tender process
  • Maintaining accurate tender documentation and estimating records
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients
  • Supporting project handovers to the commercial and operational teams following successful tenders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying, or construction support role
  • Experience within cladding, façades, roofing, glazing, or the wider construction industry would be advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • The ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Relevant construction, estimating, or quantity surveying qualifications would be advantageous
