About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Plumber / Pipe Fitter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be based from our office in Maidstone, Kent, with the majority of work taking place across London and the surrounding areas. You will be responsible for carrying out commercial plumbing and pipe fitting installations, maintenance and repairs across a range of projects, working to a high standard and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out commercial plumbing and pipe fitting installations.
- Install, maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems and associated pipework.
- Work from drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Carry out fault finding, repairs and maintenance as required.
- Work on commercial construction and refurbishment projects.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers and other trades.
- Complete relevant job sheets and site documentation.
- Travel to sites throughout London and the surrounding areas.
Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber / Pipe Fitter.
- Experience working on commercial projects.
- Good knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and pipework.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of health & safety requirements.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Reliable, professional and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel throughout London and surrounding areas.
Desirable
- Additional plumbing or mechanical qualifications.
- Experience with larger commercial projects.
- CSCS card.
- SSSTS/SMSTS or other relevant site qualifications.
- Experience with plant rooms, heating systems, hot & cold water systems and commercial pipework.
