Location: Maidstone (ME)
Salary: £121 - £130 per day (competitive, based on experience). Overtime x 1.5 for evening and Saturday shifts; x 2 for Sunday shifts.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5pm (9.5-hour days). Overtime flexibility is required to work evenings and weekends, when needed.
Purpose
Performing a variety of tasks on-site, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Able to prioritise tasks, and take responsibility for their own tooling, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Task Management:
- Effectively manage and complete multiple tasks on-site, ensuring all are completed within specified timeframes and to the required standards.
- Prioritise tasks based on urgency and workload, ensuring that all duties are carried out efficiently as per Team Leader instructions.
Risk Assessments & Safety:
- Assist in completing daily risk assessments, ensuring that all risks are identified and mitigated appropriately.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that your own daily tasks are completed in compliance with safety procedures. This includes PPE inspections and assigned equipment.
- Be confident in identifying near misses and intervene positively when necessary, following the required reporting procedure on Procore.
- Regularly attend Safety Forums to stay updated on safety protocols and best practices.
- Comply with requirements to use monitoring equipment such as Reactec (for HAVs monitoring).
- Ensure sites are safe and appropriately signed/barriered to protect the public.
Tooling & Machinery Maintenance:
- Be responsible for your own tooling and machinery, ensuring that regular checks and maintenance are carried out to meet compliance standards and where required documented on Procore.
- Perform general troubleshooting of assigned machinery and tooling, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
- Carry out routine maintenance and ensure all assigned machinery and tools are in good working order.
- Report any significant equipment issues to the appropriate person or department for further action.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution:
- Resolve minor issues on-site as they arise, applying practical solutions and utilising the experience of your Team Leader.
- Ensure that any problems requiring escalation are promptly raised with the Team Leader or Supervisor.
Site Paperwork & Reporting:
- Complete all necessary site documentation as required on Procore, including any tasks delegated by the Team Leader.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Support & Mentorship:
- Support less experienced or newer operatives, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
- Lead by example by applying new knowledge and best practices learned through safety forums and on-the-job experience.
General Site Duties:
- Contribute to the smooth running of daily site operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and safely to a high standard and on time.
- Ensure your own work area is kept tidy and safe, maintaining a clean and organised site.
Customer:
- Be aware of your impact on the local community and the end customer.
- Ensure any interactions with Customers are courteous and where issues arise escalate appropriately.
- Direct any Customer queries and complaints to the Team Leader and main office.
