Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a real difference to students who may require additional support? We are currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a supportive setting from September until December, teaching small groups of students across KS3 and KS4. This is an ideal opportunity for a teacher who is confident working with students with SEN and behavioural difficulties, and who enjoys creating a positive, structured and engaging learning environment.
About the Role
- Teach Maths up to GCSE level
- Work with small groups of Year 10 and 11 students, typically 8-10 pupils
- Teach KS3 students in smaller groups of approximately 4-8 pupils
- Support students with SEN and behavioural difficulties
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons
- Mark students' work and provide appropriate feedback
- Create a calm, positive and structured learning environment
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs
What We're Looking For
- QTS desirable; Maths teaching experience in SEN environment considered.
- Strong experience teaching Maths to GCSE level
- Experience working with students with SEN and behavioural difficulties - essential
- Confident managing challenging behaviour
- Patient, adaptable and resilient approach
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential
- Reliable and committed to safeguarding and pupil well-being
