We're looking for a highly skilled Door Entry / Access Control Engineer with a strong electrical background to join our growing Fire & Security team, covering Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, and the surrounding areas.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, commissioning, and fault-finding of door entry and access control systems across a range of commercial, social housing, and town centre properties. This role is ideally suited to a strong Door Entry Engineer with a minimum Level 2 Electrical qualification, who is looking for a long-term opportunity within a growing business that values technical expertise and career development.
Key Responsibilities- Install, service, maintain, and fault-find on door entry and access control systems.
- Carry out both planned installations and reactive maintenance works.
- Upgrade, commission, and test systems to current industry standards.
- Diagnose electrical faults associated with door entry and access control systems.
- Deliver a professional and high-quality service to clients and residents.
- Complete job reports and associated documentation accurately and on time.
- Work in accordance with all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Minimum Level 2 Electrical qualification (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years' experience working with door entry/intercom systems, ideally including Entrotec.
- At least 5 years' experience working with access control systems, ideally including Intratone, PAC, and Ensign.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working within social housing environments.
- Experience working in busy town centre or high-footfall commercial properties.
- Experience with system upgrades, commissioning, and integration of door entry and access control systems.
- Competitive salary of £38,000 - £42,000, depending on experience.
