HGV Class 2 Drivers (Days) Location: Magna Park, Lutterworth

We are currently recruiting Class 2 Drivers for our client based at Magna Park, Lutterworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and expanding operation delivering telecommunications equipment and materials across the UK.

This role is ideal for drivers who are flexible and willing to operate a range of vehicles, from 7.5 tonne through to 18 tonne, depending on operational requirements.

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shifts only
  • Fixed start times between 05:00 and 07:00
  • Regular ongoing work
  • Your Time at Work As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for:
  • Safely transporting and delivering telecommunications equipment, ducting, and associated products
  • Delivering palletised goods to sub-depots, telephone communication sites, stores, and large new housing developments
  • Completing multi-drop deliveries across designated routes
  • Using handheld terminal (HHT) scanners to record deliveries and obtain proof of delivery
  • Loading and unloading vehicles using tail lifts and pump trucks
  • Handling a mixture of pallets, cages, boxes, and loose items
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects

Please note, this position involves a significant amount of manual handling and handballing, and candidates must be comfortable with the physical nature of the work.

  • A valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence for a minimum of 2 years
  • Minimum 3 months continuous, recent experience on HGV Class 2
  • A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • A valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous multidrop delivery experience is advantageous
  • The flexibility to drive a variety of vehicles ranging from 7.5 tonne to 18 tonne
  • An excellent understanding of Driver's Hours Regulations and the Working Time Directive
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A reliable, professional, and proactive attitude
  • The ability to undertake manual handling duties throughout the working day

No previous experience using handheld scanning devices is necessary, as full training will be provided.

All successful applicants will be required to attend a full-day assessment, which will include driving and operational elements to ensure suitability for the role.
