The Role
As a Workshop Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring industrial cleaning equipment is maintained, serviced and repaired to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of industrial cleaning equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
- Working on petrol, diesel and LPG engine systems
- Carrying out inspections, testing and preventative maintenance activities
- Using diagnostic equipment and a variety of hand and power tools
- Completing repair documentation and service reports accurately
- Identifying and ordering parts when required
- Managing workloads efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Ensuring all workshop activities are completed in line with health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with engineers who have:
- Mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding and repair experience
- Experience within engineering environments such as plant, maintenance, agricultural, automotive, hydraulic, pneumatic or industrial machinery
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, engines and diagnostics
- Experience using electrical and mechanical tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Engineering qualifications such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent (advantageous but not essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence
