Our client is seeking Warehouse Operatives to join their busy warehouse team. The role involves handling, moving, picking, and packing furniture and white goods within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position and develop new skills within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities
- Picking and packing furniture and white goods for customer orders
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Manual handling and physical lifting of furniture, appliances, and other large items throughout the shift
- Preparing orders for dispatch and ensuring products are packed securely
- Moving stock safely around the warehouse
- Conducting basic quality checks on products before dispatch
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as required
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience (desirable)
- Ability to carry out repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting duties
- Comfortable working with large and bulky items such as furniture and white goods
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
