We are looking for someone like you.
Were currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to be based at our site in Eggborough.
As part of this busy transport operation, youll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers on a 14:00 to 22:00 shift pattern on Fridays the shift slightly alters to 13:00 to 21:00.

Were looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000per annum.
In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days.

What youll do on a typical day:
Support the Operations Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence
Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated
Ensure all process and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment
Manage a team of Warehouse operatives and drivers through the nightshift operation.
Ensure the operation is managed safely.
Ensure all staff are trained and following company procedures at all times.
Ensure drivers are dispatched on there allocated time to meet the contract SLAs.
Keeping damages to a minimum.
Calling breakdown companies for vehicles or trailers.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Exposure of working in a fast-paced environment no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet
Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment
Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours
Computer literate as will be answering email, dispatching drivers, and compiling a handover every morning.
