Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.
What will you be doing?
Please note this is a 6 month FTC. We are recruiting for a Trainee Working Supervisor to support our Thames Water Lot 3 contract, working predominantly within our Acoustic Logging Team across London and the Thames Valley. In this role, you'll form part of our delivery team, ensuring our health and safety commitments are met while achieving key operational targets for our client.
As the Trainee Working Supervisor, you'll provide day-to-day leadership and operational guidance to site teams, setting clear expectations and ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with legislation and client requirements. You'll champion a positive safety culture, actively encouraging Hazard and Near Miss reporting, and ensuring all activities follow approved RAMS and procedures.
We'll need you to be responsible for ensuring all SHEQ documentation is produced, maintained and communicated to the workforce. This includes managing permits, delivering site inductions, and completing weekly SHEQ audits. Alongside this, you'll maintain productivity trackers, site statistics, and coordinate stock availability with the supply chain and wider teams, while promoting positive engagement with members of the public.
Additional duties include delivering toolbox talks, daily briefings, maintaining training records, supporting safety inspections, managing incident reporting, and overseeing weekly timesheets, plant and material returns, and site measures.
