We are seeking a Senior Developer to join a software engineering team responsible for building and operating a modern Azure-based platform alongside on-premise solutions in the Rail sector. This is a hands-on technical role focused on the design, development, support, and continuous improvement of software solutions, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, C#/.NET, and contributing to the adoption of AI-driven capabilities across products and services.
You will play a key role in the ongoing development of the technical platform, ensuring solutions remain scalable, secure, and fit for purpose, while supporting the use of emerging technologies, including AI and intelligent automation, where these can add real value.
The Role
- Software Development
- Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using existing and emerging engineering methods.
- Design, build, test, and support applications and services using C#/.NET and associated technologies.

- Good understanding of software engineering best practice, including coding standards, testing, version control, and documentation.
- Experience of working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern deployment approaches.
