We are recruiting experienced Skip Drivers to join a busy waste management and recycling company in Wimbledon. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Skip Driver with Class 2 driving experience who is looking for ongoing work, weekly pay, consistent hours, and long-term career prospects.

Working as a Skip Driver, you will operate a Class 2 HGV skip vehicle, delivering, exchanging, and collecting skips for both commercial and residential customers. The role requires a strong understanding of transport compliance, driver hours regulations, health & safety procedures, and excellent customer service skills.

Previous experience within the waste management, recycling, skip hire, or construction sectors would be highly advantageous. However, we are also keen to hear from motivated Class 2 HGV Drivers who are eager to learn and build a career within the waste industry. A full one-week training programme will be provided for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role that involves more than just driving. Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, interacting with customers, and supporting daily operational activities. The role can be physically demanding and may not be suitable for everyone, but for individuals with a strong work ethic and a willingness to get involved, it offers excellent long-term opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a Class 2 HGV skip vehicle.
  • Deliver, exchange, and collect skips from commercial and residential customer sites.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
  • Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately.
  • Ensure all routes, collections, and deliveries are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Comply with transport legislation, Driver CPC requirements, and tachograph regulations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while representing the company.
  • Work closely with transport and operations teams to maintain smooth daily operations.
Requirements
  • Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience as a Skip Driver, HGV Driver, Class 2 Driver, Waste Management Driver, Recycling Driver, or Construction Driver is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of driver hours, road transport regulations, and vehicle safety standards.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Monday to Friday 06:30 - 17:00 Overtime available Optional Saturday shifts available
