Contract: 6 months contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Architect to play a pivotal role in driving a major digital and security transformation agenda for our client. You will be responsible for translating complex enterprise requirements into secure, resilient, and future-proof architectures while guiding critical services away from legacy infrastructure and technical debt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect Enterprise Security Capabilities: Lead the design and governance of robust security architectures across complex estate environments.
  • Zero Trust Adoption: Champion Zero Trust architecture principles and drive execution roadmaps.
  • Security Modernisation: Align technical designs with NIST, CIS, and Secure-by-Design principles to actively eliminate security-related technical debt.
  • Cloud Migration and Strategy: Drive the end-to-end migration architecture for critical digital services and identity platforms from legacy environments into modern cloud platforms.
  • Enterprise Identity Strategy: Guide the architectural evolution of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM/IGA).
  • RBAC and Authorization: Establish advanced Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) frameworks, compliance controls, and authorization mechanisms.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • SC Clearance must be active - must have lived in the UK for the last 5 years to be eligible.
  • Proven track record as a Senior Technical Architect, operating within a public sector or government environment.
  • Deep experience in enterprise cyber security architecture, including Zero Trust, PUAM, identity controls, and frameworks (NIST, CIS, Secure-by-Design).
  • Solid hands-on capability in cloud hosting transformations, hybrid multi-cloud solutions, and identity platform migrations while reducing legacy technical debt.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a demonstrable ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and guide cross-programme security initiatives.
