Senior Solutions Engineer London (Hybrid - 3 Days per Week)
£75,000 - £80,000 Base + £20,000 - £30,000 Variable
Our client is a global SaaS organisation and a recognised leader within their specialist market. As they continue to expand internationally, they are looking to appoint a Senior Solutions Engineer to join their London-based team.
This is a customer-facing position that combines technical consulting, pre-sales, solution design and integrations. You'll work closely with prospective and existing clients, helping them understand how the platform can solve business challenges while ensuring successful technical implementation and adoption.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in APIs and integrations, excellent communication skills and experience engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a SaaS environment.
The Role As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll act as the bridge between customers, Sales, Product and Engineering teams, providing technical expertise throughout the customer journey.
You will help customers evaluate solutions, design integration strategies, overcome technical challenges and maximise the value of the platform.
Key Responsibilities Help clients understand the capabilities, flexibility and value of the platform through technical discussions, demonstrations and solution workshops
Partner with the commercial team to identify and qualify opportunities, uncover customer requirements and support the sales process
Identify technical objections and develop strategies to resolve challenges throughout the customer lifecycle
Recommend best-practice integration approaches and solution architectures to ensure successful implementations
Act as the technical lead during customer onboarding and integration projects
Build and demonstrate prototypes, integrations and technical solutions where required
Provide ongoing technical guidance, education and support to customers and partners
Develop deep product expertise and remain up to date with new features, enhancements and product roadmaps
Work closely with Product and Engineering teams, providing customer feedback and acting as the voice of the customer internally
Support customers in optimising their use of the platform and achieving their desired business outcomes
About You 3+ years' experience in a Solutions Engineer, Presales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Technical Consultant or Integration-focused role within a SaaS environment
Proven experience working directly with customers in a client-facing technical capacity
Strong understanding of systems integration concepts and API implementations, particularly RESTful APIs
Experience working with SQL and relational databases
Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
Comfortable working collaboratively with international and remote teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline preferred
Experience within SaaS, Payments, FinTech, Logistics, ERP, CRM or other API-driven technology environments would be advantageous
