We're looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager to join our growing team on an initial 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, for Maternity Cover. At Octopus Electric Vehicles, partnerships mean building long-term, strategic relationships that drive mutual value. You'll work with a diverse range of organisations that introduce or refer their clients to our EV solution and help build our brand equity across the UK. The Senior Partnerships Manager will be responsible for our Tier 1 Enterprise clients.

You'll be the face and voice of Octopus Electric Vehicles across sectors such as financial services and employee benefits. You'll manage some of our most strategic partners, championing what we do and why we do it. A passion for improving the partner experience is essential - as are strong relationship building skills and a commercial mindset.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute the partner channel strategy for your assigned vertical, aligned to business goals (e.g. benefits providers, financial service organisations, banks).
  • Source, recruit, and onboard new partners - identifying and securing long-term, commercially valuable relationships.
  • Enable and grow existing partnerships - build trusted, senior-level relationships to maximise performance, engagement, and mutual value.
  • Drive partner activity - create joint go-to-market initiatives, campaigns, and events that deepen partner engagement and deliver commercial results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, and Business Development) to design propositions, marketing assets, and enablement materials that support partner success.
  • Own your pipeline from opportunity identification to in-life management, maintaining accurate records in CRM and reporting progress to the wider business.
  • Lead strategic relationship management - host quarterly business reviews, share monthly reports, and provide partners with actionable insights and performance feedback.
  • Represent Octopus externally - attend industry conferences, networking events, and partner activations to champion our mission and expand our reach.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement - share partner and market insights to shape future propositions and drive growth across B2B and emerging B2C channels.

What you'll need:

  • Proven track record of sourcing and winning new partners - from identifying prospects and building senior relationships through to negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of multi-year senior partnerships, balancing strategic relationship-building with hands-on commercial delivery.
  • A strong, commercially driven mindset and the ability to identify, assess, and negotiate high-value opportunities that align with business goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to influence and build credibility with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience using partner engagement and marketing tools (e.g. CRM, partner portals, co-marketing campaigns, content enablement).
  • Pipeline management expertise - structured, disciplined approach to managing outreach, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and proactively while collaborating effectively across teams - a true self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience working with legal teams on contracts and multi-year deals is a plus (training can be provided).
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • Experience or networks in financial services, fintech, employee benefits, or automotive sectors would be beneficial but not essential.
