About this role

Our dynamic Legal team is looking for a proactive leader to champion legal excellence across our product domains and customer journeys. In this critical role, you will lead senior legal support, ensuring our platform innovations align beautifully with digital regulations. By collaborating closely with Product, Tech, and Commercial squads, you will deliver strategic guidance that empowers our teams to aim high and safely evolve our global propositions with care.

Location: Amsterdam, NL / London, UK / Berlin, DE (Hybrid)

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Lead senior legal support across assigned product domains, customer journeys, and platform changes, acting as a strategic lead partner to Product, Tech and Commercial teams globally.
  • Drive clear, risk-managed guidance on consumer law and digital/platform regulations that enables teams to move quickly and with confidence.
  • Review product launches, user journey experiments, and terms - defining pragmatic legal mitigations that balance regulatory compliance with business ambition.
  • Own complex consumer and regulatory escalations end-to-end, coordinating external counsel effectively where needed.
  • Build scalable product guardrails, playbooks and AI-powered legal tools that allow Product and Tech teams to execute and deliver faster.
  • Connect the dots across risk areas including Privacy, AI, Competition and Public Affairs to deliver joined-up, consistent advice.
  • Manage engagement with regulators, legislators and consumer bodies on behalf of JET.
  • Coach and develop junior lawyers in product legal analysis, business partnering and stakeholder engagement.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Senior lawyer, legally qualified to practise in the United Kingdom or a relevant European jurisdiction, with deep expertise in consumer, digital, or e-commerce legal matters.
  • Strong command of consumer protection law, digital regulation, platform rules, and customer-facing risk.
  • A proven track record advising Product, Tech, or Commercial teams on launches, regulatory requirements and user journey changes.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical, actionable guardrails that non-legal teams can actually use.
  • Sound professional judgement on when and how to escalate across regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk pathways.
  • Experience in a multi-country, consumer-facing technology or marketplace business - you know how to move fast without cutting corners.
  • A coaching mindset: you invest in the people around you and bring junior lawyers along with you in a fast-paced, stakeholder-heavy environment.
