Providing expertise to clients within government and the commercial sector, this successful technology consultancy works in areas such as DSP, high speed data processing, cybersecurity and secure communication systems. Their high calibre engineering team brings together a wealth of experience in areas such as PCB design, image processing, FPGA, low power electronics, embedded software, and RF communications.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you can expect a high degree of ownership over your work and close collaboration with clients. You need to be self-motivated and resourceful, a confident communicator, and able to take the lead in innovating technical solutions, and mentoring colleagues when required. Projects cover a broad array of application areas, so there will be ample opportunities to apply your electronics design expertise and further broaden your experience and skill set.
You will need:
- At minimum a 2.1 bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM discipline from a well ranked university, and preferably an advanced degree or PhD in a relevant subject
- Strong A-level grades: A*s and As (or their equivalent)
- Previous commercial experience in areas such as PCB layout, FPGA/SoC design, and VHDL
- Embedded C or C++ development for Linux device drivers, high speed networking, RF filtering, or similar applications
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Ability to obtain a higher level UK security clearance - i.e. British nationality and resident in the UK for the last 10 years
