The role:
Are you an experienced Building Services Engineer with a proven track record of working in the construction or social housing sectors? If yes, then this may be the perfect role for you! We have a great opportunity to join our Design & Technical team as a Senior Design & Technical Manager - Services. You will lead on providing technical support and guidance to the wider department on MEP design matters, working closely with colleagues from pre-inception stage through to the end of the Defects Liability Period. The focus is to ensure that full design and technical reviews are completed, that the most appropriate construction methods and materials are specified, and that our standard documentation is robust and current, to ensure our risks are fully mitigated.
Based in our Farringdon office, this role offers hybrid working arrangements of 2 days per week in the office and 3 days work from home. Some occasional travel may be required from time to time depending on the need to visit sites.
What you'll have:
- CIBSE, IMechE, IET, or similar construction related membership and qualification, or qualified by equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of MEP systems, building components and construction methodologies.
- A track record of operating at a high level within a large and complex organisation, with particular experience in construction or the social housing sectors.
- Demonstrable experience in identifying, evaluating and mitigating risks associated with MEP design, utility infrastructure, and building services systems across design, construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
- The ability to present complex information in a clear, transparent, and readily understandable manner.
