The Role SEND Teacher

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties and PMLD.
  • Develop personalised learning programmes based on individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
  • Use sensory, communication and practical approaches to engage pupils in learning.
  • Support pupils' communication, independence and personal development.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to assessment and review processes.
  • Create a safe, structured and stimulating learning environment.

What We're Looking For

  • QTS is essential.
  • Experience within SEND, SLD, PMLD or complex needs is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of differentiation and personalised learning.
  • Patient, nurturing and resilient approach.
