This role leads the technical design and delivery of Salesforce solutions, with a strong focus on Apex, Lightning Web Components and complex integrations. You will guide and mentor a distributed development team, ensuring secure, scalable and product-based architectures that can be rapidly deployed and localised across multiple markets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of Salesforce solutions, providing hands-on guidance in Apex, Lightning Web Components and integrations.
  • Design and review the current solution architecture to ensure it is robust, scalable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Make the application secure from external cyber security threats by embedding secure architecture patterns and best practices.
  • Guide development teams with detailed design specifications, architecture standards and implementation guidelines.
  • Ensure the teams implementation aligns with the recommended architecture, Salesforce best practices and coding standards.
  • Identify technical risks proactively, communicate their impact and drive effective mitigation plans.
  • Ensure the application is scalable and follows secure, modular architecture patterns suitable for multi-market deployments.
  • Define and drive the evolution of the application towards a product-based architecture to support long-term ownership.
  • Establish reusable design patterns, frameworks and integration standards to accelerate delivery across different markets.
  • Design solutions for rapid deployment and localisation across up to 80 markets with minimal customisation.
  • Drive standardisation and simplification of the solution to reduce implementation, support and operational costs.
  • Define a target architecture that supports multi-market scalability, maintainability and sustainable product growth.
  • Ensure compliance with security, privacy and regulatory requirements while maintaining business agility.
  • Create and maintain architecture roadmaps and governance processes to support continuous improvement and product evolution.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet functional, non-functional and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Technical Lead or similar senior Salesforce engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Apex development.
  • Extensive experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and the broader Lightning platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Salesforce integrations with other systems.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, including secure and scalable design patterns.
  • Experience with Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud).
  • Ability to technically lead and mentor a distributed team of around developers.
  • Strong background in Salesforce development and engineering best practices.
  • Experience designing solutions that comply with security, privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to create and maintain architecture roadmaps and governance processes.
