BAM Ground Engineering Drill & Blast Department have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quarry Driller; this is an opportunity for an enthusiastic and professional individual. BAM Ground Engineering Drill & Blast Department are an industry leading company within the extractives industry providing fully integrated blasting services, for government organisations, local authorities, main contractors, utilities, and public/private companies.

This position can be based across the Central Belt of Scotland or the East Midlands (Cumbria, Lancashire, and Leicestershire).

As a Quarry Driller, you will be responsible for the following:

  • This will be a hands-on role operating drilling rigs, maintaining equipment and working alongside our blasting teams to deliver safe, efficient results.
  • Maintaining the very highest standards of health and safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Although previous experience in quarry drilling industry is not essential, it is desirable that the candidate have experience working outdoors, preferably in a construction environment.
  • Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Emergency First Aid At Work Training (One Day).
  • Manual Handling Training.
  • Experience in working on construction sites.
  • The ability to work well with others.
  • Strong communication, motivational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours + weekends, including some overnight stays away from home.
