We are currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to support a range of major rail and London Underground projects across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable Project Controls professional to take responsibility for the effective management and delivery of project controls across complex rail infrastructure programmes.
The Role
As Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and managing robust project controls processes, providing accurate reporting and analysis to support project delivery and senior decision-making.
You will work closely with Project Managers, Planning, Commercial, Risk and Engineering teams to ensure projects remain on track in terms of time, cost, risk and performance .
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing project controls activities across rail and London Underground projects.
Developing and maintaining project controls strategies, processes and procedures.
Managing programme and schedule performance, working closely with planning teams.
Monitoring project costs, budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
Managing project risk, opportunities and change control.
Producing accurate and meaningful project controls reports for senior stakeholders.
Providing performance analysis, trends and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
Ensuring effective integration between planning, cost, risk and change management.
Identifying potential delays, cost pressures and emerging project risks.
Working with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
Supporting governance, reporting and project assurance requirements.
Managing and mentoring project controls professionals where required.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager with a strong background in major infrastructure projects, ideally within rail, London Underground or other complex transport environments .
You should have:
Proven experience in a Project Controls Manager or similar senior project controls position.
Strong experience working on major infrastructure or rail projects.
Excellent understanding of planning, cost control, risk and change management.
Experience working with complex project programmes and performance reporting.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
The ability to analyse project data and provide clear, commercially focused insight.
Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
A strong understanding of project governance and assurance processes.
Experience using project controls and planning systems, with Primavera P6 experience highly desirable.
