London (EC1Y 1AA) Up to £40,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance Uncapped Commission | Agile Working
Are you an experienced 360 Principal Recruitment Consultant looking for greater earning potential, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build a specialist desk within a resilient, investment-driven market? The railway, bus and Transportation sector is undergoing continued investment, with operators and contractors focused on improving infrastructure, rolling stock, fleet modernisation, passenger experience and operational performance. This creates sustained demand for specialist talent across engineering, rolling stock, station management, customer service, facilities management and passenger services & presentation operations.
We're expanding our presence within this market and are looking for a recruiter who wants to build long-term client relationships, work on high-value roles and develop a specialist recruitment desk with significant scope for growth.
Why This Opportunity?
You'll join an established Transportation team with a strong market presence, existing client relationships and the platform required to build and scale a successful desk. This is an opportunity for a Principal Recruitment Consultant to take ownership of a specialist market, develop strategic client partnerships and play a key role in the continued growth of the division.
You'll operate a full 360 recruitment desk, managing both business development and candidate delivery across predominantly contract-based recruitment opportunities, alongside permanent appointments where required. You'll build relationships with rail operators, bus companies, contractors and transport service providers, partnering with clients to understand their workforce challenges and deliver specialist recruitment solutions.
The market provides access to a broad range of disciplines, including engineering, rolling stock, station management, customer service, facilities management and passenger services & presentation operations. You'll have the opportunity to develop a recognised specialism, build a strong market reputation and become a trusted recruitment partner within the sector.
Leadership & Environment
You'll report into a high-performing Manager with nearly ten years' experience within the business, leading with high standards, clear expectations and a strong focus on performance. As the division's top biller, they bring proven strategies, market knowledge and practical experience in developing and scaling successful recruitment desks.
This is a high-performance environment where consultants are expected to deliver, but are equally supported with the structure, resources and leadership required to succeed.
A Market With Real Opportunity
This role is defined by sector rather than geography, giving you access to a wide range of clients, roles and long-term recruitment opportunities. With a strong focus on contract recruitment, the market benefits from recurring workforce demand, ongoing investment and long-term partnerships. This creates the opportunity to build a resilient, high-performing desk with genuine earning potential over the long term.
Backed by a Business Built for Performance
Ganymede is one of the UK's leading engineering and infrastructure recruitment businesses and you'll benefit from full central support functions including Finance, Compliance, Marketing, HR, Internal Recruitment, Health & Safety, Fleet and IT. This infrastructure allows consultants to focus on what matters; building relationships, winning business and delivering results.
We continue to invest heavily in technology, candidate attraction tools, sales enablement systems and a purpose-built CRM platform to support specialist delivery. Combined with structured progression, agile working and genuine autonomy, this is an environment designed for high-performing recruiters who want control over their success.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced 360 Principal Recruitment Consultant with a proven track record of building specialist recruitment desks within technical, engineering, infrastructure or operational markets. You'll be commercially driven, confident developing client relationships and comfortable working in a delivery-focused, fast-paced environment. You'll have the ability to win new business, develop strategic partnerships and grow a successful recruitment desk.
Experience within Transportation (or complimentary sectors) recruitment is beneficial, but not essential what matters most is your ability to build relationships, develop markets and deliver results.
