We are seeking a passionate and motivated Pastry Demi Chef de Partie to join our dynamic pastry brigade of nearly 15 talented pastry chefs and bakers. This role is ideal for a skilled pastry professional looking to further develop their craft within a luxury hotel environment.
As Pastry Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the senior pastry chefs in the preparation and delivery of exceptional pastries, desserts, and bakery items, while also taking ownership of specific tasks and sections. You will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to the highest quality standards across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior pastry chefs in the daily preparation and service of pastries, desserts, and bakery items.
- Take responsibility for designated pastry tasks or sections, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Prepare and present dishes to the highest luxury and fine dining standards.
- Support service across multiple outlets, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, and special events.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food hygiene, health, and safety at all times.
- Ensure correct storage, labeling, and stock rotation of ingredients.
- Work collaboratively within the pastry team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Contribute positively to a professional, respectful, and supportive working environment.
About You
- Previous experience as a Pastry Commis Chef or Pastry Demi Chef de Partie within a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
- Strong technical skills in pastry, desserts, bakery, and plating.
- Excellent understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and HACCP standards.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
- Flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
