Salary: £12.87 - £14.03 per hour (based on competency & qualifications)
Plus: £25 night supplement per shift
Contract: Permanent Full Time or Part Time (Full time: 40 hours per week / Part time: 33 hour or 22 hour contracts available)
Shift pattern: 8:45pm - 8:15am, includes working every other weekend
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Night Support Workers to join a residential children's home, supporting children and young people with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex needs. This is a waking night role, where you will provide consistent, high-quality care throughout the night, ensuring safety, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
You will:
- Provide exceptional care for children and young adults
- Support bedtime routines, including washing and changing
- Encourage healthy sleep patterns where possible
- Carry out regular checks throughout the night and respond to any needs
- Ensure medical needs are met, including administering and recording medication
- Maintain a safe, calm and supportive environment
- Carry out light housekeeping tasks during quieter periods
- Participate in personal care routines and physical intervention when required
The heart of this role is building trust, communicating effectively and supporting young people to develop greater independence.
