Salary: Up to £40,000 (DOE) + bonus
Bonus: Quarterly management performance-related bonus of up to 15% of annual salary
Location: Fully Remote with monthly meetings in South East England area
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday plus 1 Saturday every 4 weeks
Shift Pattern: Varied shift patterns ranging between the hours of 8am - 8pm
For this role you must have proven experience leading a customer-focused motor claims intervention, capture or contact-centre team in a target-driven environment.
Whilst it is a fully remote role, the company would expect you to lead/attend monthly meet ups with your team. This will be once a month in the South East UK.
The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Motor Claims Team Leader with a strong background in motor claims intervention or motor accident management? We're looking for a confident, hands-on Motor Claims Intervention Team Leader to lead a brand new fully remote team and drive performance across a busy motor claims operation. You'll make this the best performing team in the business!
You’ll take ownership of team performance, claims workflow, customer contact, intervention, conversion, quality and customer outcomes, while coaching and developing your team to deliver consistently high standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead, coach and motivate a team handling motor claims and intervention cases.
- Manage daily claims workflow, workloads, ageing and service levels.
- Drive timely customer contact, claims capture, intervention and conversion.
- Ensure claims are assessed accurately and progressed appropriately.
- Monitor KPIs including contact rates, conversion, productivity, quality and customer outcomes.
- Run team huddles, 1-to-1s, coaching and performance reviews.
- Manage attendance, probation, conduct and underperformance.
- Review claims and MI to identify training needs and improve team performance.
- Investigate complaints, errors and service issues and drive corrective action.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on team performance, resource and operational risks.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading a Motor Claims, Claims Intervention, Motor Accident Management or motor Credit Hire team.
- Strong understanding of motor claims and the intervention process.
- Knowledge of credit hire, third-party claims and claims capture/conversion would be highly advantageous.
- Experience managing KPIs and using performance data to improve results.
- Confident people manager with experience handling performance, attendance and difficult conversations.
- Strong coaching, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Able to successfully lead and engage a fully remote team.
- CII or relevant insurance/leadership qualifications would be advantageous.
