We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our supportive team at our specialist school in Islington. Our school provides a nurturing and structured environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural difficulties.

About the Role

  • Teach Mathematics to small classes of 7-10 pupils, allowing you to build strong relationships and provide individualised support.
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire confidence and progress.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Help create a positive, consistent learning environment where every pupil can succeed.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
  • Is passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
  • Demonstrates patience, resilience, empathy, and excellent classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to high expectations and helping every pupil achieve their potential.
  • Experience working within specialist settings, alternative provision, or with pupils with SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
