TSR Legal is delighted to be working with a specialist law firm in West Yorkshire that is looking to appoint a Legal Cashier to join its established finance team based in Castleford. This is an excellent opportunity for a Legal Cashier who enjoys working in a busy, collaborative environment and is looking to join a well-respected firm with a strong reputation in its specialist field.

While experience within a Personal Injury practice would be advantageous, applications are welcomed from Legal Cashiers who have worked across other areas of law and have a solid understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

The Role

You will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the firm's finance function, ensuring all financial transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities will include:

  • Processing client and office account transactions
  • Posting receipts and payments
  • Managing electronic bank payments and transfers
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations
  • Handling client account queries
  • Processing CHAPS, BACS and Faster Payments
  • Assisting with billing and completion statements where required
  • Ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Supporting the wider finance team with month-end procedures and ad hoc duties

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous Legal Cashier experience within a law firm
  • A sound understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
  • A proactive and team-focused approach
  • Experience within a Personal Injury firm would be beneficial but is not essential

The Opportunity
