We have several permanent and contract vacancies available UK-wide.
We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established engineering company specialising in the maintenance, overhaul and servicing of medium-speed diesel engines across the UK.
This is a home-based role with nationwide travel, making it ideal for engineers who enjoy working in the field while still having time allocated for planning and administration.
Duties and
Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault finding and repairs on medium-speed diesel engines.
Undertake engine overhauls both in the workshop and at customer sites.
Diagnose mechanical faults and provide effective solutions.
Complete service reports, maintenance documentation and parts lists.
Plan upcoming jobs and liaise with the engineering team regarding required parts and resources.
Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.
Travel throughout the UK and some international travel to support customer requirements.
Qualifications and
Requirements: Previous experience working on medium-speed diesel engines is preferred.
Experience carrying out engine servicing, maintenance and overhauls.
No specific engine manufacturer experience is required.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and internationally .
Salary and
Benefits: Basic salary of £43,680 per annum (£21.00 per hour based on a 40-hour week).
Field work paid at £30.00 per hour (£360 per day).
During field work, the first 8 hours are uplifted from the basic hourly rate to £30.00 per hour.
Company van provided.
Home-based role with UK-wide coverage.
Permanent full-time position with opportunities to work on a wide variety of engine applications.
