Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Laminator Operator to join a leading manufacturing company based in Wednesbury. This exciting opportunity is due to start in October and offers the chance to become part of a well-established and successful business.

Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Set up and operate the foiling laminator safely and efficiently
  • Prepare profiles and foils for production
  • Monitor machines settings, temperatures, adhesive applications and line speeds to ensure optimum performance
  • Carry out quality inspections to ensure excellent finish, adhesion and colour consistency
  • Identify and rectify minor production issues and escalate more complex faults where necessary
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with Health & Safety procedures
  • Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of the laminating equipment
  • Work closely with production, quality and maintenance teams to achieve production targets

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience operating laminating equipment is preferred
  • Experience within the window, extrusion, plastics or manufacturing industry would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality products
  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence in adjusting machine settings
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new processes and equipment
  • Good understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment

What's on offer:

  • £15 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Thursday (7:00am - 17:30pm)
  • Temporary to permanent position
  • Full training on foiling laminator
