We are seeking a driven Junior Sous Chef - Baker to join the Claridge's Bakery team. Maybourne operates some of the world's most extraordinary hotels, including Claridge's, The Connaught, The Berkeley and The Emory in London, the Maybourne Beverly Hills and the Maybourne Riviera in the South of France, where exceptional experiences and stories of distinction are crafted that celebrate the design and character of every destination.

As a Junior Sous Chef - Baker you will be responsible for:

  • The development, supervision and preparation of all bakery items within Claridge's Hotel
  • Ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.
  • The development and ongoing learning of Chef de Parties, Demi Chef de Parties, Commis Baker and Apprentice chefs.
  • Ensuring that the kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy.
  • Appropriate mise-en-place, stock rotation and portion control.

  • Be able to lead and manage a large fine dining establishment
  • Demonstrate an exceptional level of skill in the art of baking
