On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for an Internal Audit AI Specialist for an 8 day piece of work, spread across 6-8 weeks based remotely within the UK.

Job description - the role
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its application within audit functions.

This role will support the assessment, review, and enhancement of AI adoption across Internal Audit, helping to ensure that AI-related tools, methodologies, and governance frameworks align with industry standards and best practices.

The successful candidate will bring deep AI knowledge combined with the ability to provide strategic insight on how AI can be effectively and responsibly leveraged to improve audit quality, efficiency, and risk management.

What you'll do:
Conduct thematic reviews of AI adoption and usage within Internal Audit functions.

Assess how audit teams are incorporating AI technologies into audit planning, execution, reporting, and quality assurance processes.

Evaluate existing AI governance frameworks, controls, and operating models within Internal Audit.

Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure AI-enabled audit activities align with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and internal policies.

Provide independent challenge and constructive recommendations regarding AI implementation, governance, and risk management practices.

Support the development of strategies that enhance the effectiveness and maturity of AI within Internal Audit.

Identify opportunities to improve audit methodologies through the responsible use of AI and emerging technologies.

Engage with stakeholders across audit and technology functions to provide subject matter expertise and insights.

The skills you'll need:
Significant experience within Internal Audit, Audit Advisory, Risk Assurance, or related functions.

Demonstrable experience working with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, or AI governance frameworks in an audit or assurance environment.

Strong understanding of Internal Audit methodologies, quality assurance processes, and control frameworks.

Experience reviewing and assessing governance, risk, and control environments.

Ability to provide strategic recommendations and independent challenge to senior stakeholders.

Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
