A Specialist Renewable Energy Consultancy is expanding its operations and seeking a dependable HIU Senior Engineer to cover London and the South of the UK. This is a pivotal role within a highly supportive operations team, offering the chance to maintain complex heat networks and play a direct role in major city-scale decarbonisation projects.

The Opportunity: You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of low-carbon heat networks. Your day-to-day remit involves a blend of hands-on technical maintenance, fault-finding, and team development:

  • Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing of Heat Interface Units (HIUs) across various manufacturers.
  • Diagnosing complex faults, executing first-time fixes, and conducting root-cause analysis to resolve operational issues.
  • Managing site-based project works and assisting with 1-to-12 monthly mechanical PPM checks within commercial plant rooms.
  • Participating in a structured on-call rota (1 week in 4) to execute emergency callouts and reinstate heat securely.

The Package:

  • Base salary of £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) plus a discretionary performance bonus.
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays (option to buy or sell up to 5 additional days).

  • Safety: Competency in mechanical and electrical safe isolation.
  • Mobility: Full UK Driving License held for a minimum of 12 months.
