This consultancy believes in becoming part of your team, and as your Health and Safety Managers, we are available to you 24 hours a day for emergencies, questions, and information. JNC Safety Services are now proudly part of the wider JMG Group, a top 30 UK insurance broker with a strong presence across the UK who are experiencing rapid growth and continued success in the market. JNC Safety Services are expanding their team further in the South West Region. We are an eminent organisation bringing a refreshingly positive approach to the minefield areas of Health and Safety. Our services also incorporate Fire Risk Assessments, CDM, and Health & Safety Training.
The ideal candidate would have attributes that could further the services that the consultancy currently provides. This could be temporary works, IPAF, PASMA training etc. This would allow JNC to expand and develop to meet clients' needs.
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Health and Safety Advisor to respond to requests from clients and provide Health and Safety advice. Your main duties within this role will be visiting clients to carry out any number of the following processes:
- Quality checking of work produced by the consultancy team and in turn liaising with the consultants on any amendments required
- Assisting clients with the completion of SSIP accreditations (CHAS, SafeContractor etc)
- Supporting with RIDDOR reports
- To respond to requests (telephone or electronic) from clients and provide relevant technically and legally correct Health and Safety advice in a professional and practical manner
- To advise clients on specialist areas such as Fire, construction, DSEAR
- To research information required to provide detailed health and safety guidance and technical support to clients and Consultants
- Assist the Technical Manager in the writing of Guidance Notes, Standard Phrases and Check lists
All to be completed away from client premises, from Head office Truro. The ideal candidate should hold the NEBOSH General/Fire Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum. Being a member of IOSH/IFE would support your application as would experience in dealing with risk assessment. Previous experience in providing H&S consultancy/Fire risk assessment services within a customer-facing environment is also desirable. Qualification in delivering teaching to adults is essential.
