The Role - What You'll Be Doing
As Gas Engineering Supervisor, you'll combine hands-on technical work with team leadership to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient gas services across multiple sites.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, support, and motivate a team of Gas Engineers and technicians
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence
- Deliver regular safety briefings, audits, and training sessions
Technical & Compliance Excellence
- Carry out advanced diagnostics, repairs, and installations
- Ensure 100% compliance with Gas Safety Regulations
- Oversee gas inspections, certification, and documentation
- Manage SharePoint systems including compliance tracking and calibration records
- Audit works and lead investigations where required
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clients, building managers, and contractors
- Coordinate maintenance and ensure minimal service disruption
- Attend and contribute to monthly Gas forums
Emergency Response
- Take control of emergency gas situations
- Lead rapid response teams to ensure safe and effective resolution
What We're Looking For
- You'll be a technically strong engineer with leadership experience and a passion for high standards.
- Gas Safe registered with full commercial and domestic qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CORT1, CDGA1, CIGA1, TPCP1A)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial gas engineering
- Proven experience leading or mentoring engineers
- Strong knowledge of commercial plant rooms, boilers, and heating systems
- Confident with compliance, audits, and technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Full UK driving licence
