Known for their commitment to quality workmanship, technical expertise, and outstanding customer service, they work alongside developers, principal contractors, public sector organisations, and private clients on projects ranging from repairs and refurbishments to large-scale new-build developments.

The Role

  • Preparing accurate estimates and competitive tenders for flat roofing projects
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans
  • Obtaining competitive quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors
  • Identifying value engineering opportunities and commercial risks
  • Preparing detailed pricing submissions and tender documentation
  • Liaising with clients, surveyors, architects, and project teams throughout the tender process
  • Supporting project handovers to the operational and commercial teams
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Assisting with continuous improvement of estimating procedures and cost databases

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as an Estimator within the roofing or construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, including felt, single-ply, EPDM, GRP, or liquid roofing
  • Experience pricing commercial roofing projects would be highly advantageous
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing multiple tenders
  • Full UK Driving Licence
