Trainee Recruitment Consultant
Location: London
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission (OTE £40,000-£45,000+ Year 1)
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
We're looking for ambitious individuals who aren't afraid of hard work. This is a fast-paced, target-driven environment where you'll face setbacks, make difficult calls, and continually push yourself outside your comfort zone. In return, you'll receive exceptional training, clear progression, and the opportunity to earn life-changing commission from an early stage in your career.
If you're someone who thrives on competition, enjoys winning, and is willing to outwork the competition, recruitment could be the perfect career for you.
The Role
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you'll be responsible for building your own market, developing relationships with clients and candidates, and managing the full recruitment process from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building new client relationships through business development and networking.
- Sourcing, screening and interviewing high-quality candidates.
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from vacancy qualification through to offer acceptance.
- Negotiating offers and providing expert advice to both clients and candidates.
- Writing engaging job adverts and attracting top talent.
- Developing long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
- Working towards ambitious sales targets in a highly rewarding environment.
What We're Looking For
This role is about attitude more than experience. Successful recruiters are resilient, competitive, and willing to put in the work. You'll stand out if you are:
- Highly ambitious and motivated by financial success.
- Resilient enough to bounce back from rejection and keep pushing forward.
- Competitive with a genuine desire to be the best.
- Hard-working and prepared to go the extra mile.
- Commercially minded with strong communication skills.
- Confident building relationships over the phone and in person.
- Looking for a long-term career rather than just your next job.
- Sales, customer service, hospitality, estate agency, retail, or other target-driven experience is advantageous but not essential.
What's In It For You?
Success is rewarded here. The harder you work, the greater the rewards.
Financial Rewards
- £27,000 - £30,000 basic salary.
- Uncapped commission.
- Transparent commission structure with no limit on what you can earn.
Incentives & Culture
- Regular team lunches, socials and company events.
- Performance-based incentives and competitions.
- Luxury holidays for top performers.
- High achiever rewards and recognition.
- Collaborative, ambitious team environment where everyone is driven to succeed.
Is Recruitment Right for You?
Recruitment is incredibly rewarding, but it isn't easy. It requires resilience, determination, consistency, and a relentless work ethic. There will be challenging days, difficult conversations, and setbacks along the way. However, for those who embrace the challenge, the rewards are significant. You'll build valuable commercial skills, accelerate your career, surround yourself with ambitious people, and earn based on your performance, not your age or years of experience.
