Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to support a large-scale public sector transformation programme within a complex, data-intensive environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect with extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale data architecture across multiple concurrent workstreams. You will provide strategic leadership, architectural governance and assurance, ensuring data solutions align with organisational standards and long-term business objectives. The successful candidate will have a strong consulting background or experience working within large-scale systems integration and public sector programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise data architecture across multiple programmes and workstreams.
- Define and maintain data architecture principles, standards and target-state architectures.
- Translate complex business and data requirements into scalable architectural solutions.
- Provide strategic oversight of data architecture, ensuring consistency across initiatives.
- Drive best practice in areas including:
- Data architecture
- Entity resolution
- Master Data Management (MDM)
- Data governance

- Metadata management
- Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, standards and design documentation.
- Provide architectural assurance and governance for solution designs.
- Work closely with senior business and technical stakeholders to influence strategic direction.

- Mentor and guide technical teams, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
Required Experience
- 5+ years' experience leading enterprise or data architecture engagements.
- 3+ years' experience designing complex enterprise data architectures.
- Strong background in enterprise data modelling and architecture frameworks.
- Experience defining data architecture principles, standards and governance models.
- Demonstrable experience with:

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively at senior leadership level.
