The predicted salary is between 40016 - 50000 £ per year.

Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Job Description:

As an Engineering Tools & Processes Advisor, you'll work with Digital Engineering teams and Engineering SMEs to ensure people, processes and tools are aligned to programme requirements. You'll support the implementation and optimisation of engineering toolsets and processes, enabling teams to deliver effectively and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Core duties:

  • Act as a key interface between Digital Engineering teams and Engineering SMEs, supporting effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Implement engineering processes and toolsets in line with programme schedules, ensuring business and capability requirements are met
  • Support the development and optimisation of engineering toolchains and workflows to improve efficiency and performance
  • Drive process improvement and workflow automation, promoting standardised ways of working across the organisation
  • Monitor tool and process performance, using metrics to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Contribute to the development of a new joint venture, helping establish effective ways of working from the outset

Essential Skills:

  • Experience within an aerospace, defence or engineering environment, with knowledge of engineering IT tools and processes
  • Experience working in a systems engineering environment
  • Understanding of the engineering lifecycle
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple organisations
  • Experience supporting process improvement, tool implementation or engineering transformation activities
