We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Deburrer/Operator to join our team at our Poole, Dorset location. This role is integral to ensuring the precision and quality of our highly engineered components. Hours of Work: Rotating shifts on a double-day schedule:
- Early Shift: Mon-Thurs 6:00am-2:15pm, Fri 6:00am-12:00pm
- Late Shift: Mon-Thurs 2:15pm-10:15pm, Fri 12:00pm-7:30pm
37 hours per week, with additional hours as required to maintain the efficient running of the department.
Responsibilities: As a Deburrer/Operator, your key responsibilities will include:
- Precision deburring of metal components using various tools and techniques.
- Inspecting and deburring work under magnification to ensure quality standards.
- Reading engineering drawings to identify critical features.
- Selecting and using appropriate inspection equipment for manufacturing.
- Manufacturing components to correct drawing specifications.
- Changing inserts and adjusting machine offsets as needed.
- Selecting and identifying bushes and fixtures to protect critical features.
- Hand engraving traceable numbers on components.
- Shot blasting components for cleaning and preparation for future treatments.
- Cleaning and protecting components.
- Completing necessary quality documentation.
- Adhering to Lean principles and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Assisting in the training of other employees.
- Collaborating with Production Engineers on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Completing component tool sheets and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) when required.
- Understanding and utilizing the Kanban process.
- Performing other duties as required by the nature and level of the role.
