Cedar is looking for a Data Protection Consultant to join a leading organisation on an initial contract.

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection professional with a strong track record of managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs/SARs) from end to end.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for ensuring requests are managed efficiently, accurately and in accordance with UK GDPR and statutory deadlines.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll coordinate the identification, review and disclosure of personal data, while ensuring appropriate redactions are applied and compliance is maintained throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the full lifecycle of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs/SARs) from receipt through to final response.

Coordinate the collection and review of personal data from multiple business areas and systems.

Review documentation and apply appropriate redactions where required.

Ensure responses are delivered in line with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and internal policies.

Liaise with key stakeholders across Legal, HR, IT and the wider business to facilitate timely responses.

Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all requests.

Support the continuous improvement of DSAR processes and procedures.

About You

Proven experience managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs/SARs) from end to end.

Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to review large volumes of information accurately.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritise competing deadlines and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Experience with Microsoft Purview, e Discovery or other information governance tools would be advantageous.
